We stopped doing residential so we could do this properly
A commercial gate is powered machinery on a site where vehicles and people share an opening all day. It is governed by UL 325 and ASTM F2200, it is sized on leaf weight and cycle count, and when it fails it takes the yard with it.
That is a different trade from hanging a garden gate, and it needs different certifications, different parts stock, and different insurance. So we do that, and only that. Everything on this site is commercial gate work.

Most of the non-compliant gates we inspect were compliant on the day they went in. Photo eyes drift, safety edges get clipped, and somebody disables the sensor that keeps nuisance-tripping.

Commercial gate questions
Do you do residential gates?
No. We are a commercial gate contractor — industrial yards, warehouses, multifamily, municipal, and secured sites. Keeping to commercial work is why we can carry the certifications and the parts stock that this work needs.
Which gate type is right for our site?
It comes down to side room, grade, overhead clearance, and traffic. Cantilever where there is run-back beside the opening, swing where there is level arc, vertical pivot where there is neither, barrier where the job is throughput. The survey settles it.
How long does a commercial gate installation take?
Most installations run one to three days on site once materials arrive, plus footing cure time. Lead time on the gate and operator is usually the longer part — we give you both figures in the written scope.
Do you work with general contractors and architects?
Yes, regularly. We can work to an issued specification or write the gate and access-control scope for you at design stage, which usually avoids the clashes that show up when a gate is specified without a site survey.
What does the site survey cost?
Nothing. We measure the opening, shoot the grade, check side room and overhead clearance, and go through traffic and credentials with you. You get a written scope you can put out to bid, whether or not you use us.
