A pickup truck, a few borrowed tools, and a dream
New England Automatic Gate started in 2008. Everything since has been built on doing the job properly and showing up when we said we would.
Family-run in Tewksbury since 2008
We started in 2008 with a pickup truck, a few borrowed tools, and a dream. There was no yard, no crew, and no reputation — just the belief that if you set posts properly and answered the phone, the work would follow.
It did. Today New England Automatic Gate works commercial gates only — industrial yards, warehouses, multifamily, municipal, and secured sites across Eastern Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire, from our yard at 418 South St. in Tewksbury. We have a fabrication capability, ACI certified gate automation staff, and a crew that has been with us for years.
Narrowing to commercial gate work was deliberate. A powered gate is regulated machinery on a site where vehicles and people share an opening all day. Doing it properly needs certifications, parts stock, and insurance that a general fencing outfit does not carry — so we stopped trying to be both.
What has not changed
We still walk every property line with the customer before a post goes in. We still give a written price you can hold up against anyone else’s. And we still take the call ourselves — which is why our reviews mention Ray and Kamil by name rather than a call centre.
Credentials
Our team includes an ACI Certified Gate Automation Technician and an ACI Certified Gate Automation Designer, and we are members of the American Fence Association. Those certifications are the whole point on an automated gate, where a badly designed system is a genuine safety problem rather than an aesthetic one.
