New England Automatic Gate started in 2008 with a pickup truck, a few borrowed tools, and a dream. Today we work commercial gates only — industrial yards, warehouses, multifamily, and municipal sites across the Merrimack Valley.
Almost every failed gate we get called to has the same cause: an operator specified to hit a price rather than to carry the leaf. So we survey first, size on leaf weight and cycle count, and put the numbers in writing where you can check them.

Gate type, leaf weight, operator class, safety devices, and lead times — costed line by line, so you can put it out to bid or hand it to a GC.
Install and certify
Footings, gate, operator, and access control installed by our own crew, then commissioned and documented against UL 325 and ASTM F2200.

Every automated gate we touch leaves UL 325 compliant
Most of the non-compliant gates we inspect were compliant on the day they went in. Photo eyes drift out of alignment, safety edges get clipped by a delivery truck, and somebody disables the sensor that keeps nuisance-tripping.

Do you do residential gates?
No. We are a commercial gate contractor — industrial yards, warehouses, multifamily, municipal, and secured sites. Keeping to commercial work is why we can carry the certifications, the insurance, and the parts stock this work needs.
How do I know which gate type our site needs?
It comes down to four things: side room beside the opening, the grade of the drive, overhead clearance, and how much traffic it sees. Cantilever where there is run-back, swing where there is level arc, vertical pivot where there is neither. The site survey settles it.
What does the site survey cost?
Nothing. We measure the opening, shoot the grade, check side room and overhead clearance, and go through traffic and credentials with you. You get a written scope you can put out to bid, whether or not you use us.
Is our existing gate UL 325 compliant?
It may not be, even if it was when installed. Photo eyes drift out of alignment, safety edges get clipped by trucks, and sensors get disabled when they nuisance-trip. We inspect against UL 325 and ASTM F2200 and give you the findings in writing.
Do you service gates another contractor installed?
Yes, any commercial make. Tell us the manufacturer and rough age of the operator when you call so we can bring likely parts on the first visit.
Do you work with general contractors and architects?
Regularly. We can work to an issued specification, or write the gate and access-control scope at design stage — which usually avoids the clashes that appear when a gate is specified without a site survey.
